I certainly don't mean to be an alarmist, but the powers that be should be expecting this. No matter who won the election. We are at war, and our President-elect knows it. These people are not testing Senator Obama himself, they are testing our resolve as a nation, and our need to have an extraordinarily high comfort level in our daily lives. They hate us with a passion, and they have nothing to lose...we do. Buckle your seatbelts, folks. Safety and peace for everyone~

It was 'discussed' in our usual bi-partisan, open-minded, full-consideration sort of way, earlier.

For some of us, the conclusion was "the alert level has not gone up."

Oh but I thought terrorism and the war on terror are just made up boogy man scare tactics the Republicans keep making up. They aren't real threats, are they? We will see how real they are, God forbid, if Obama has to deal with them.

No, but I'm not surprised. As soon as 09/11 happened Al Qaeda promised another attack when we least expect it. When it happens, Obama should be blamed for it like Bush was blamed for 09/11. In FACT, I think Obama is the one planning a new attack on the US (didn't idiots come out and say that BUSH planned 09/11?).

I agree. Even if it were John McCain the same would happen....but Id rather for Obama to be in charge because he thinks things through unlike Bush and McCain. The last thing we need is another president who will lead us into a war with another nation...hint hint Iran, and use the war on terror as an excuse to attack. If we weew to attack Iran, World War III begins. Personally I think Bin Laden is dead because we havent heard his voice in years. We know he was having serious health issues.

Another thing, Obama will be prived to alot of classified information. I think if the general public knew all this information, there would be constant panic.

The stupid Islamic monkey is dead. Otherwise, we would have to endure more of his stupid video tapes. If we are attacked, I hope Obama gets medieval on their a$$ and nuke the filthy savages.

[1] That shows how completely Bush failed the American people. Seven years after 9/11, and Bin Laden (remember Bush saying "dead or alive"?) is still out there. Pathetic.

[2] McCain has said that he knows how to get Bin Laden. Maybe it's time for him to let the U.S. military in on his secret, eh?

[3] We need focus, and discipline, and correct, well-considered decisions regarding Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda ... in short, all the things sorely lacking since 9/11.

Regardless of who won the election, that we will be attacked again is almost a certainty, and that's a terrible indictment of the last 7 years. Whether we can still prevent such an attack, and how we will respond to such an attack, depends on Obama and how much time he'll have to right the ship.
