Well it's time republicans WAKE up and realize we are going to need someone who can rally the base towards conservatism and liberty come 2012. I dont need Romney or any other packaged McCain type republican pretending to even know what small government is. A long time ago after reagan we should have made the government smaller and limited to constitutional law. Instead we go big government republicans and democrats, bailouts, wars and socialism.

NO thank you.

Ron Paul 2012 for real hope and change.
I'm getting my signs ready and the rallies should be starting soon.
Spread the word of freedom.

Fringe candidates like Palin and Paul will ensure the GOP's continued defeat. If the Republicans have any hope of regaining power some day, it will be due to them moving towards the mainstream, not away from it.

Ron Paul's age would be a huge factor for a run in 2012.

Wth does palin and paul have in common?
Absolutely nothing, son. Besides I don't believe you are advocating moving towards the mainstream at all, but rather liberalism. We already have a democratic party, we certainly don't need another one.

Explain what specifically makes him "fringe" and "away from the mainstream"

His opposition to things like highways and schools, for a couple of examples just off the top of my head.

I'd say kookiness, for one.

And of course, you're free to believe as you choose. But please understand that your beliefs may be far removed from reality.

I like his position on the UN (get out of it); not too sure on his position on states deciding if they are pro or against abortion -- still unsure how I feel about that though.. I do like the fact that he appears to be a true libertarian. I like the fact that he is pro foreign non-intervention. Alas in 4 years he will be 77 and that is a BIG concern.
