1.) God (or Jesus Christ) did not listen to the prayers of millions of Christian fundies who prayed for the victory of McCain/Palin
OR
2.) God doesn't exist
He listened, but sometimes he can't always answer all prayers. He has something better in store.
Not all my prayers are answered, but something better always seems to come around.
I've said this before...Jesus is always depicted as a light haired, blue eyed, anglo saxon looking dude. We have to admit if he was born in Arab territory then he had to have been pretty dark complected. As for God, I guess he looks like whatever one's imagination wants him to look like.
Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin describes herself as a "hard-core pro-lifer" and expresses confidence that in spite of disheartening polls, "putting this in God's hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4.
Does this mean that God hates Republicans? Or does he hate Americans in general?
I think America is getting what it deserves, same as every election in recent history. As long as voters act like sheep they will end up with a Shepherd. Some might be a better Shepherd than others but they are still Sheperds taking care of their dumb flock.
This is an example of the type of garbage I'm talking about. This post is completely meaningless, it serves to only hide the poster's selfishness and place a premium on anti-social behavior and actions. God, is simply used as a bait-and-switch mechanism.
I am sorry but the post you are referring to makes more sense than most any post in this string. Unfortunately it makes sense only to those people that are not dumb sheep. To those that are and voted once again for the lesser of two evils.... well you get what you deserve.
God cares about what comes out of human hearts and souls. Occasionally God even cares about what comes out of human brains. Politics comes out of the rectum, so God leaves it alone.

That is funny but I could not find hate anywhere. In fact I hear more hate coming out of her detractors than her supporters. Hate from a liberal? What is the world coming to?

Everything happens for a reason, so yes it was your time. I didn't say immaculate conception, I do believe that God does create all life, if you do not that is fine.
God wants people to be free, to make your choices and knowing in those choices you take responsiblity for yourself and others around you. But to be free, government can't FORCE you to be responsible and it can't force you to help others which is the path we are on. This past election like many in the past was not about freedom but about which set of chains you would like to pick for the next 4 years. Government of this size is now oppressive and it no longer lets the individual be responsible for themselves. God intended man and woman to be free and to love one another making our choices and learning from them. When governments erode your rights and freedom and liberty to pursue your dreams and individual success it has destroyed the human spirit and the chance for individuals to make a difference to help others.

You must surely be against the invasion of Iraq. Imagine the scenario you described and then apply it to an Iraqi. Now include the abuses of Abu Ghraib and all the mistaken shootings at checkpoints and all the "collateral
damage" of civilians accidentally being blown to bits.
Now if it is "resistance to tyranny", wouldnt the "insurgency" be more like "freedom fighters"?
Remember, Sarah Palin thinks we are doing "God's will" in Iraq. Who's God, theirs, or ours?
