-47% of America is uneducated white trash?

-McCain took the white vote by 55% to 43%. Do you think that all those people are uneducated white trash?

I think this was more of a troll thread. no merit, but liberals sure do like to call everyone racists. it's a part time hobby for most of them.

And yes I am hoping more can be done to recall the shots out there with mercury in them and get it out of flue shots as well
No, she most assuredly was not. The fruit fly research being done in Paris that she referred to involved the olive fruit fly which attacks olive trees. The goal of the Paris study is to develop a way to stop the damage this insect does to the olive crop in CA. It has nothing to do with medical research.

The fruit fly research that has led to medical advances involves the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster, NOT the olive fruit fly. This is the fruit fly that has contributed to better understanding of autism.
Palin at no time said that this type of fruit fly research should be stopped and to imply that she did is simply not correct.

Since removing thimerosal from vaccines began almost 10 years ago, I kind of doubt that there are huge lots of vaccine that still contain the preservative out there- but whatever.

Flu shots without thimerosal are available. (CDC)

Quote:
-How much thimerosal-free influenza vaccine is expected to be available for the 2008-09 season?

For the 2008-09 season, manufacturers project producing as many as 50 million doses of thimerosal-free or preservative-free (trace thimerosal) influenza vaccine. Of these 50 million doses, approximately 20 million doses represent flu vaccine products that are licensed for use in children over 3 years of age.

-Will the supply of thimerosal-free and preservative-free (trace thimerosal) influenza vaccine be adequate for the recommended pediatric priority groups (ages 6-59 months) during the 2008-09 season?

For the 2008-09 season, there is one product licensed for 6-23 month old children (the product is thimerosal-free). For children between the ages of 2 and 5 years of age, there are three products available that are thimerosal-free (sanofi's Fluzone; MedImmune's FluMist) or preservative-free (trace thimerosal- [Novartis's Fluvirin]). Specific information about these products and other influenza vaccines can be found in the Table: Influenza Vaccine Manufacturers for the 2008-09 Influenza Season. Given the uptake of influenza vaccine among children less than 5 years of age, and the anticipated increase in vaccination coverage for this season, CDC projects that the vaccine supply for this age group will be adequate to meet demand.

CDC - Influenza (Flu) | Q & A: Thimerosal-Containing Influenza Vaccine
First off, there was enough thimersol left in warehouses and on shelves in the shots to last 20 years, they did not RECALL them. It's still in the flu-shots as well.

Adventures in Autism: Still Finding Thimerosal in Doctors Offices

I had to stop them from giving it to my son on his last shot, ITS STILL IN THE DOC OFFICES. If you do not ask for preservative free, chances are you are pumping your child up with that junk.

My child received his shots starting a just few years ago, we did a trace after he had a reaction on the lot , they ALL contained mercury. And so on the last one we asked for no Mercury and the new doc, said no there isnt, look at the package and.. it had it right there on the ingredients, even the doc was shocked she had it in stock. The truth is they didnt recall it, but people assume they did.

The story of the olive fly was bs made up after she messed up and everyone knows it.

Imagine if a doctor said I am going to give the baby you love a shot with mercury in it. Do you mind? I would have said Well if you do would you mind if I punch you in the face repeatedly until you pass out. That might be why they don't tell us.

Yes exactly. like the woman who posted here saying its not in the shots anymore, she should not have commented, she isn't living it and she didn't do her research or she would have found out its still in the shots on the shelves because there was no recall. Mistakes and assumptions like that hurts the children and parents who have to hear people talk so negligently about things they don't care enough about to research..

Its not her fault. That is exactly what the AMA and CDC want people to believe. Otherwise they might have to accept thier accountability for what they authorized, for what they disregarded. They knew of the connection and felt the casualty count was acceptable.

Maybe youre right. I assumed too because of this misinformation that they were not in the shots anymore, I even asked the first doctor as I did the second if it was in the shot and they said NO.
