I just read Obama won Salt Lake County the first time a dem won in decades. When I lived there, the city itself was about 40% registered dems. Things they are a changing.

if romney had got the nomination, he would have received 100% of the vote.

Jon Huntsman Sr. is a wonderful man. I saw him on Glenn Beck several months ago- he made his fortune in the packaging business, including those fast food boxes. He does business on a handshake and seems to be very ethical.

His son would be a great addition to the Obama administration. I hope it happens.

Actually, over 3000 people wrote in "Romney" and those votes were not counted - you have to be registered to run to have a write-in count here. If those folks had voted for McCain, he would have carried SLC.

Huntsman is OK but no star - he lacks "presence" in TV ap0pearances.

They could have and didn't so their decision to write in Romney was probably a rejection of McCain. They could have gone with the majority of their neighbors and voted for Obama thus widening his victory margin. We don't know if they were close to voting Obama or McCain and since Obama carried the area one would could assume/accept that he would have been the second choice for a majority of them.
