Let me post a follow up to my previous comment..

It will be one of the most pivotal events in American history, not all of history. That is a sure sign of stereotypical American arrogance right there.

Surely you wouldn't say that the election of Obama compares to or surpasses the events that transpired at Yorktown, Gettysburg, or on D-Day?

Once again, can we please try and dispel at least one of the American stereotypes?

I'm quite sure everyone who voted for Obama is very anxious for Jan 20th to arrive - I know I am!!!

It will be so very refreshing to have someone who is not a party ideologue, who has a brain, and who is articulate in the oval office...

Hey thanks, pirate girl..

To all those naysayers who still have their heads stuck firmly in the sand, open your eyes....I think this is a history shaping event & my post simply expressed that...Time will tell though, that's for sure.

It will be just like any other inaugaration. Someone lying while everyone gathers around to watch them lie and pretend like they aren't lying.

The reason I can't wait is because of the damage the current president is trying to do before Obama takes office. I hope he doesn't decide to bomb Iran on Jan 10. Maybe he'll just declare Martial Law on Jan 19.

Yes indeed. History in the making.
Our first 'black' (what ever that means) president.
Our first Marxist president.
Our first Muslim president.

....I would love to hear what the founding fathers would have said about all these "wonderful" firsts.....

I love the shift to "Marxist" from "Socialist" now that George W. Bush has nationalized the finance and insurance industries and proven himself a practicing socialist.

I just wish Ronald Reagan were alive to witness his "legacy". I'm certain he'd want to buy W a cold glass of milk or something.

Keep up the creative work, HC. You're funny.
