Yea, kept us safe in spite of the fact of this:

White House Releases Pre-9/11 Intel Memo - April 10, 2004

Too bad they didn't heed any of the warnings ... sigh.

No, no terrorist attacks since 9/11 on American soil.... just over 4,000 dead soldiers, thousands more mutilated for life, their families (thousands of people) disrupted, broke, grieving.

""""And so far he has. It is unknown, and perhaps can't be known, whether this was fully due to the government's efforts, or the luck of the draw, or a combination of luck and effort. And it not only can't be fully known by the public, it can hardly be fully known by the players at all levels of government. They can't know, for instance, of a potential terrorist cell that didn't come together because of their efforts."""

Correct.

The thought that BUSH kept us safe while the attack happened on his watch is ludicrous....and for those who will immediately drool, "it was Clinton's fault" (absolute drivel)...remember IF anything happpens on Obama's watch it WILL be Bush's fault...

Yeah, I remember how safe I felt when the Bush administration told people who live in Northern Virginia to buy duct tape.

Yessiree, duct tape was going to save us from those high level terrorist warnings people in NOVA received on a daily basis.

2001-2002 was such a fun time to live near DC--we had daily terrorist threats, anthrax at my local mail facility, a sniper driving around shooting people as they shopped or mowed the lawn... but thank goodness Bush was there to reassure us. Without him, I'd never know the key to avoiding terrorists is to buy duct tape!

Bush may have kept us safer by spending half his time in office on vacation instead of actively destroying us.

That's the only way I can see this thread having any truth to it.

LOL.

Maybe, just maybe, if we have another terrorist attack under Obama's watch, Obama can rehash to us to put proper air in our tires. This will help us get better gas mileage and get away from the scene of the attack slightly quicker.

Actually, if all the tires in the country were properly inflated, the increase in fuel economy would be an estimated 1-2% per the AAA, without any other action on anyone's part and no expense or research.

Obama's comment was spot on.
