As long as every single one of the workers has to prove he or she is a legal US citizen, I wish him well in his attempts.

Obama haters and SORE LOSERS never have constructive ideas - don't you know that by now???

All they know how to do is b*tch!! THAT, they're very good at.,..

Obama's idea is fantastic - and large enough to have a very significant effect on the economy...

At this point in a very steep recession, one should use fiscal policy and not worry about deficits...

Besides, the price tag of his public works proposal is small change compared to the deficits that the Republicans have run up under Bush - very very very small change...

Sooooo.... what do you guys think of this plan?

All those are only government jobs which of course would require trillions of taxpayer dollars and the American people cannot afford a big tax increase at this time.

Why thank you, it's nice to know that you think I'm cabinet-worthy. Of course I wouldn't want most of the jobs that are still open--Energy Secretary sounds like too oily of a position, and Secretary of Labor sounds too laborious.

But.... speechwriter sounds like it could be fun. I'm willing to bet a certain foolish young man's speechwriter job just became available. I promise to never pose with a cutout of Hillary Clinton or any other politician. And my voluminous posts here on CD should prove that I'm up to the task of writing speech after speech after speech.

Oh wait, I forgot one big stumbling block: I'm really addicted to bad puns. I wouldn't be able to resist slipping a few into the State of the Union. And I guess we can't have that!

So, no administration jobs for me. But thanks for the compliment.

Well, hey, it was a suggestion, deary. I think you should apply, you're one of the few obamatrons who I can respect, as you keep a pretty even keel.

Snippy, cutey? I answered her question with my original thoughts, something I don't think you can concieve. And yes, I AM quite fond of sitting on this forum and criticizing. Better to criticize than denigrate as you do so well.

Well, bob, what can I say. You are quick to pidgeon-hole those who don't see "it" your way, whatever "it" is, aincha? "Not worry about deficits..." Got that from old Dick Cheney, eh? No original thought, as usual. Like idahogie.

So, little girls and boys, I've answered you all in one note. If you don't like my answers, well, tough, deal with them.

Based on your post (and many others you've made) I would have to say you're one of the champion pidgeon-holers in this entire forum... you berate anyone who disagrees with you or who stands up to your infantile ignorant rantings...

Pretty snippy of me - wouldn't you say deary cuty???

Maybe they can work out some deal with GM, Ford & Chrysler. Instead of salaries, workers can opt to get paid with a new car from the backed up inventory that's just taking up space right now.

Good point, and some of those people who've lost manufacturing jobs in Detroit might like bridge building jobs.
