For all those who helped elect a corrupt Chicago politician who seems to, along with his buddy the Illinois Governor, have taken the job to scam money for political appointments, are you embarassed by your decision yet?

The Obama administration, while promising to be forthcoming and transparent, has dodged reporters and refuses to release records regarding their involvement in the selling of our political future.

So are you embarassed yet, having fallen for the empty promises of Barack Obama? Or do you still hold out some slim sliver of hope that Barack Obama is going to follow through on any of his campaign promises?

The President-elect is showing himself for what he always was, a liar and a fraud, more interested in his own personal advancement than in improving our country. Hopefully in '12 all of you who voted for this empty suit will wake up and see that a candidate's record speaks louder than mindless rhetoric.

Grasping at straws aren't you? That's okay, Obama haters are in the distinct minority. In fact, they'll say virtually anything, very little of it the truth.

Obama will become president next month, he will be such a welcome change from Bush..the overwhelming majority of Americans are looking forward to it.

Absolutely not. There's no such thing as an honest politician. If John McCain had been elected, we'd be hearing the same thing from the Other Side. So, to Thinking Americans, it just doesn't matter... FWIW, I'm enthusiastic about some of his cabinet choices so far. And, I realize that my daily existence won't change if McCain had been elected, anyway.

What a vivid imagination you have!

Obama's doing a fine job. Nothing you fabricate can change that. That must make you feel pretty impotent.

Perhaps I'll wait until president-elect Obama is president before heaping scorn on him - or accusing him of things without offering any evidence whatsoever.

But perhaps I (and the 79 percent of Americans who think he's doing a good job of preparing for the job*) am just missing the giant conspiracy Obama is engaged in.

While you're mulling this over, here's a decent summary of some of the actual damage the country has suffered under President George W. Bush http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/14/op...luzp3J7ZQaH9NQ
you may want to have a look at the series of Times pieces referenced (and linked to) in this piece , called collectively "The Reckoning".

Ummmmmmmm..... nope!

I have this funny rule about feeling embarrased: it's not something I do unless a prez-to-be has actually done something embarrassing. I'm just funny that way. Besides, I think he's been doing a great job so far--so the answer is: nope, no regrets here.

I would gladly look at and consider a valid source if you would like to present one. Unfortunately, the New York Times is far from unbiased or reliable.

The facts are these:
- Governor Blagojevich is accused of trying to sell Obama's seat.
- Obama said neither he nor his campaign had any contact with Blagojevich.
- Evidence surfaces of at least incidental contact with Blagojevich regarding this issue.
- Obama promises to release any communications between his staff and the Governor.
- The Obama administration fails to release any communications.
- Evidence surfaces that Rahm Emanuel, president-elect Obama's chief of staff, had detailed contacts with the Blagojevich administration.
- Emanuel, either on his own initiative or through Obama, refuses to discuss the issue with the press.

The facts are clear:
1. The Obama administration has information relevant to the criminal inquiry, and had some degree of involvement.

2. Despite promises to be open and transparent, the Obama administration has failed to divulge what it knew or knows.

3. When confronted with a part of this evidence, the Obama administration closed ranks and hushed up.

Where's your transparency?

Would you like to see some of the other promises that Obama made to get elected and is now backtracking on? There's quite an extensive list.

The ONLY thing I'm embarassed about is having to read the completely partisan, totally predictable tripe in the above posting - it is so rank amateurish - it is EMBARASSING!!!

Get a life Dude - you LOST - please start dealing with it!!!

Obama is going to go down as one of our greatest Presidents.

He will have saved the nation from the almost complete economic meltdown that the Bush Republicans have left us with, will get our troops out of Iraq, will improve our world standing, will turn the economy around and create good jobs, and will finally focus on the war on terror - not some sideshow in Iraq (but they tried to get my Daddy!!!)...

Perhaps if one single word in your screed were even remotely accurate, but they aren't, so I'm not. Maybe in 6 years, after you and yours have spent $80 million in tax payer money you might catch Obama getting a blow job from an intern, but until then, I'm proud as hell of what Obama has done so far and expect to be even prouder still in the upcoming years.
