The Democratic led Congress had an opportunity to hold back on taxpayer money. They didn't have the nuts to act decently.

They could have voted ( in Congress ) not to increase their pay.

What do you think they did?

Congress had a chance to look out for you. They blew it. Again.

OK, everyone knows that Frank is out for his own gay agenda. Nancy is using a big plane so that she doesn't have to make a stop over. ( In the midst of global warming ).

I'm here to tell ya, the Democratic Congress and White House wants you to believe that we should be proud of the assault they're about to push down our throats.

They're flying around on tax funded airplanes. Doesn't that make you mad?

Lets just cut to the chase:

Dems are terrible, worthless, corrupt, bad etc

Repubs are all sweetness and light.

There, that should save at least 20 pages.

Ya Know, I don't believe that.

I know Chauncy wants me to admit that I hate Democrats.

But this won't work in the "new political environment".

I want Chauncy to know that if ever there was a time to reach across the aisle ... it's now.

There are hardly enough Republicans left on this Forum to even have a debate.

Domestic energy matters. Dems need to realize that means putting a gun down into the Earth. ( natural gas ).

Reaching across the aisle means that Nancy Pelosi has to stop being the end of it all. This is the America that Americans have voted for.

She talks the talk. But doesn't walk the walk.

Pelosi is the most powerful woman in America ( after Hillary ) and instead of riding a bike to the Capitol; she continues to enhance Global Warming, by using Govt. provided transportation.

Hypocrite.

And if you say Nancy Pelosi is special -- you are deluded.

NO one is, or will be, looking out for the middle class, ever....

so get over any hope of that, ain't gonna happen.

The big plan is to have two classes like any other Third World country, the ultra-rich and the ultra-poor....we're headed there fast and no one can stop it....just glad I'm really old and won't see the worst of it(I hope!)

The GOP controlled Congress got a pay raise every year in office under Bush.

But you're making this a Democratic thing????

I can think of several things they are attempting to help the middle class on.

The Obama tax cut plan had higher tax cuts for middle income earners.

They pushed and passed a bill raising the miniumum wage.

They are pushing to have more children covered under State healthcare plans.

They are pushing for universal health care.

Aside from the other extremely valid points already raised regarding the dems and the middle class, how do you explain the "surge" buying the loyalty of iraqi warlords for at minimum twice the raise of the congress that you are outraged by?

Don't look now, but you'd probably have to hunt through most of the Southeast to find enough republicans to field a touch football team.

Unless, of course, you want republicans who now say they never liked or supported Bush. I have detected a slight uptick in their numbers since November 4th.

What else is new? They're Democrats!

Wait till Obama takes office; then you'll see what he meant by "change" (which is really no change at all, but a strengthening of "big government" and even greater spending increases across the board).

Why people elected this extreme leftist Chicago thug is totally beyond comprehension.

Can't happen.

Bush already spent it all, and then some, turning America into a Socialist country with Nationalized banking , insurance, and soon automobile manufacturing.

Instead of concerning themselves with falsely calling Mr. Obama a socialist, the McCain campaign should have been busy warning America that W really was one and was busy remaking America in his image.

The only thing W ever strengthened was "Big China" and his and Cheney's bank accounts.

Where DID the $12 Billion "Bremer Bucks" go, I wonder? Do you know?
