It’s encouraging to see that some Republicans politicians are at least trying to be post-partisan. But will the RNC take the ad down? Or will they continue to wage the same old tired partisan warfare?

We shall see…
Yeah, we will see, all the while the Dems continue their partisanship and some in this forum continue their hateful rants. Too bad that everyone just can't seem to calm down and see what will be.

Geeks' heads spin as Obama ascends - Nation & World - News & Observer (http://www.newsobserver.com/nation_world/story/1345481.html - broken link)
WASHINGTON -- Get ready for the geek-in-chief.

President-elect Barack Obama used to collect comic books, can't part with his BlackBerry and once flashed Leonard "Mr. Spock" Nimoy the Vulcan "Live Long and Prosper" sign.

That and other evidence has convinced some of Obama's nerdier fans that he'll be the first American president to show distinct signs of geekiness.

"He's a geek because he was smart," Usafi said. "There were a lot of girls that liked him because he was cute, but he kept his head in the direction he was going in. I would see him studying all the time."

Its pretty well known I didn't vote for Obama but I hope he can combine smart with leadership. One without the other doesn't cut it in these times. I'll ride his backside the whole time, but I have to admit, so far it is nice to have someone capable of playing chess instead of just checkers in the top chair. Mr.Obama, here is the rope, use it wisely.
