Color me shocked.
But hey, if the religious right is at least placated by his performance, I'm feeling good about his chances for re-election.

“I am remarkably pleased with Obama,” he told Malveaux. “I had grave misgivings about him. But so help me, he's come in forcefully, intelligently. He's picked a middle of the road cabinet. And so far, if he continues down this course, he has the makings of a great president. So, I'm very pleased so far.”

He is going to be exactly the kind of president many of us expected. He was painted as a far left liberal, a socialist, and a marxist by the other party, but he doing exactly what I expected, and I am pleased. I will admit all of those anti-Obama messages and accusations gave me pause to reflect, but I am so glad he was elected.

Not really surprising. It had been awhile since Robertson had been in the headlines of the news.

Maybe this is nearly the end of the dominionist Religious Right. I dont know if Focus on the Family has yet responded to their invitation from the Obama team to participate in a "National Day of Service for Martin Luther King Day, the day before the inauguration," but I look forward to learning their answer.

Wait a minute. Isn't this the crowd that consistently paints Robertson and his ilk as a big ole scary monster? So, in this instance, you're reading Robertson's words and agreeing with him? Heh. We'll remember this when y'all revert to your "scary monster" rhetoric about the Religious Right.
Just a tip -- ignore the fringes. They don't matter in the least.
