Obama tricked many!
The very first official words of the Obama administration will be delivered by a homophobic, pro-life, woman hating right wing evangelist nut job who puts on a very polished face in public. This is who Obama personally chose to deliver the invocation. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU VOTED FOR, FOLKS!!!!! First he staffs his cabinet with war-mongering Washington insiders and old-timers, then he slaps the face of the entire liberal base by selecting Rick Warren to deliver the invocation. THIS MAN IS A FRAUD!!!! HOW LONG TILL 1/20/2013??????

Although I disagree with a lot of what Mr. Warren says, I think it is very wise that we as a people start to come together to heal. I think that is Mr. Obama's purpose in selecting Mr. Warren. If opposing sides never discuss issues, we will remain divided. A divided nation does no good for either side.

I don't pay attention to things like that. Professional wresting, soap operas, and politics are a waste of time. In my mind, I don't even have a president.

In politics it's all about who you know and what favors you owe. We needed a change of direction in this country and the people chose Obama, an eloquent young man and also a candidate they didn't know much about as he represented a Washington outsider, synonamous to "change". The questions really isn't who is Obama, as Hilary and McCain have embarrasd themselves trying to solve this question perhaps they didn't quite get the memo that Obama has an autobiography out. The question goes back to who Obama knows and what favors he owes. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

He is not a fraud. First of all Rick Warren does not hate anybody. Just because he does not think a man should marry a man does not mean he is the equal to Westboro Baptist Church. That is his opinion after study of the gospel as he sees it and many folks obviously agree with him- including Obama who stated before the elction that he too believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. He did not run on a pro gay marriage platform so how can you say that this is "not what people voted for"?
Secondly Obama will probably be the most pro gay President in history. Give the man a chance. Rick Warren is not part of the Obama administration. He is there for one day only. Obama and his cabinet will be there for 4 years- and hopefully 8. That is what the gay community needs to watch.
Secondly his cabinet is not full of warmongers. They are professionals with the experience needed to carry out the changes Obama wants. We already had "amatuer hour at the White House" when Jimmy Carter brought in all the idealogues from Georgia. We don't want to go there again. The stakes are too high now.

Ain't he just WUNNERFUL???
I love how he staffs his cabinet with people who not only knows how Washington works, but also know the approaches which will not work when attacking a problem. It will save a lot of time getting Change We Can Believe In underway.
It is also a marvelous thing to see all segments of America represented and on stage working together not as red and blue, not as republican and democrat, not as conservative and liberal, but as AMERICANS untiedto provide the best inauguaration in history for a President who has promised to be a president for all Americans.
1/20/2013 will come soon enough, and in all likelihood President Obama will invite some of the same faces for a return engagement at his next inauguration.
If he performs like FDR, perhaps we can extend that to 1/20/2017 by popular acclaim and demand.

Remember this thread was started by one of the strongest Obama haters in this forum. It was designed to start more Obama bashing by Obama supporters because of Warren. Ask the poster just how much of a supporter of Gay Rights his postings and personal beliefs have been!
