It seems that people will support this fool of a president and failure of a man to the bitter end. Of course he didnt do it all himself, but he led the country in the wrong direction. The prez is the most powerful single person in the world, and he destroyed the trust of the American people and the rest of the world. He didnt know there was an economic problem until an 'expert' told him, 3 months ago. LOL!

People need to take personal responsibility for their lives, and quit scapegoating. Of course, we all know that's not going to happen, because it's so much more fun to be an irresponsible crybaby.

Yes indeed. Just like that idiotic lady, captured on YouTube after going to an Obama speech, claiming that when he is elected President she wouldn't have to worry about making her car payment, or paying her rent, etc.

This president was no more a fool than the moron who left office as an adulterer who started the deregulation who "tried" (A for effort) to do anything about terrorist attacks although that was a miserable failure also. But hey he cut the military to balance the budget so it all worked out right?

Well, I think he's as much a flip-flopper as that lieberman guy. last night on ac360, he claimed he was against the bailout, and you're saying he is/was for it, and am now confused, but, what could one expect from a comedian? so, him wanting americans to go out and spend$$$ is a bit ridiculous, people need to see the economy rebound some, and banks need to loosen the money supply a bit. I've heard that banks that received the tarp money are still holding onto $$$ and still not lending. all in all, I still don't think obama, or any president that might have been elected would have a silver bullet for the problems america faces. let's face it ladies and gentlemen, we're deep in doo doo, and it may get deeper before the fat lady sings. I think when obama takes office, his plate won't be full, it will be runneth-over with problems.

But I agree, personal responsibility is clearly lacking. But the does not excuse Bush from goading those bad at math into making bad personal decisions for the simple reason that short term it was good for making the 1% richer.
Same way I see state lotteries, or more appropriately looteries, they are simply a tax on those that are really bad at math.
No one person can do or undo everything. I have been preaching this but I will say it one more time. People need to start being responsible for themselves. The American middle class has been adjusting to whatever happens for years. It seems that either the rich or the poor are always taking advantage of us, but we end up paying for whichever one is in power. It just changed from the rich to the poor.
Has anything changed for me. Not yet, but I expect inflation to hit soon as Obama takes office.

They made their beds, they can lay in them. Furthermore, government bailouts mean that these people will continue to act irresponsibly, then come sliding up to the trough next time they're broke,
