But...but...but...I thought Democrats only voted for Obama because he's black!!!!1!! Then why are they denying a black man his senate seat!?
More proof that Republicans live in a delusional fantasy world, with no basis in reality. I love it!

Darkness falls on America?????
I can't decide if you're being overly dramatic or trying to make some sort of really bad pun.

It wasn't supposed to be a pun. But on second thought maybe it was a poor choice of words. I don't know if there's a way to change the titles on these threads.

Ah, and now we have "America Weeps." OK, back to overly dramatic.
I have no idea how this whole thing's going to work out. Probably the Supreme Court will need to decide. But somehow I don't really think this is a national tragedy worth weeping over.

I think Burrus is a sad, desparate example of the car-salesman type of politicians which corrupt our poliyical system and this great country.
He knew he wouldn't be sworn in without the approval from the Illinios Secretary of State first
...yet he shows up at the capital and feigns ignorance to the political process.

He's not feigning anything. He can't sue the Illinois Secretary of State until he demonstrates damage. The lack of a signature isn't damage. The refusal to seat him is.

Then he is sueing his way into the Senate???
That's exactly what's wrong with our country and politics....."If I can't have it .....I'll sue for it!"
Burris is setting a sad example for our children.

So... A guy can just decide that he's a Senator, walk in and take his seat?
Wow - count me in! I'm ready to hitch my wagon to the Gravy Train!
