Burris being turned away from the Senate just seems ready made for an SNL skit to me. Especially since Burris has an interesting face and a distinct voice--you just know they could imitate him pretty well.

Or maybe something about the Obamas arriving in Washington? I could see them having a plane land at Dulles and as it touches down a halo appears overhead.

Lol, those would be great....I wonder if they'd do something about the irony of Ann Coulter whining like a liberal about The Today Show. They really need to step up and take on all those RW characters - BillO, Sean, Rush, Ann - every week, until they've all been laughed out of existence.

Oh, indeed. SNL is nothing if not courageous in leading the pack of left-wing hyenas. Especially now that they're on the inside of the government. They've even got their own Senator, Stuart Smalley.

Frankly, I don't see Obama or any lefty ever having a real tough time with the SNL crew. They're in the bag.

The next few years will be interesiing indeed for students of satire as a tool of hypocrisy.

Those capable of being educated will find it depressing. But who cares about them, right?

You're right it's a good thing SNL didn't crack Clinton jokes for 8 straight years.

Yes, of course--they need to do an Al Franken parody!

I'll bet he hosts it the very first Saturday after his seat is firmly seated in the Senate.

Yes, and he can update one of his old standard lines:

OLD VERSION: "I'm Al Franken, and you're not."

NEW VERSION: "I'm SENATOR Al Franken, and you're not, Norm."

Burris already made late night comedy. They were more making fun of the Senate and it's attempt to keep it a white man's club. I wish I could remember which comedian it was but I think Cobert.

Gupta, it would be so hilarious.
More and more of Obama's appointments are bordering on the absurd.
