Only if you believe that the limo is the end all be all in Presidential security.

Get the paint done, then put some big wide chrome 24's on it and it will look GOOD!

Looks better then Queen Elizabeth II's armored Rolls Royce ... now that looks hideous. I dont understand why she dont just ride around in a normal limo with tinted windows and everything. Actually Obama's limo doesent look that much different then what Bush had.

That's funny because GWB's decisions in office made the heavy protection on his successor's limo necessary.

The Chrysler-Daimler Mercedes diplomatic limo is a much more appealing looking vehicle.

of course there is the hummer option, a bit audacious but...

Although with world sentiment towards the US, perhaps this would be more appropriate.

Excuse me... isn't this a "waste" of money? What happened to all the previous limos that a new one is needed? America is having budget problems and a new limo is made? What's wrong with the old one? Sounds a bit elitist to get a new limo... wasteful spending... apparently is in the eye of the beholder even for this president...

Welcome to the world of libs. Everyone else must get small, gas sipping hybrids while I drive my big gas hog Caddy. Like Rosey going on about getting rid of guns while her bodyguard packs heat. Gore and his mansion with the carbon footprint of 20 homes. Endless games for the mindless.

It's part of the auto bailout.

But your question made go look around for an answer. I didn't find one that explained why they were building an new limo, but it appears that they replace them rather often, or at least every 4 or 5 years.

Anyway, I found this and I found it interesting.
