I think they ought to call her a Chief Performance Recruit. After all our federal budget may benefit from a CPO, but it really needs CPR!

at the moment, I am inclined to give Obama the "benefit of the doubt" in every situation. I do not believe that he is "perfect" or incapable of error, but I do believe that he will be the best POTUS I have seen in my lifetime (since Eisenhower, for those who are curious), that he will learn and grow in his leadership abilites with the challenges of his presidency, and that he will create for himself, the opportunity to make our government a less intrusive, but much more positive force in the lives of Americans.

I wish her a lot of luck. That's going to be one heck of a job.

"She will help lead the effort to go through the budget line-by-line, eliminate what's not needed and improve the things that work, Obama said."

Once again. When it comes to experienced Federal managers, the Democrats have a very small pool to choose from, since over the last 28 years Democrats had only a short window of 8 year from which to gain such experience. It just so happen that those 8 years represent Clinton's administration.

ha. so now experience matters? too funny. . . perhaps that's why Obama has had to even reach back for Carter admin retreads.

Experience has always mattered. But experience had to be weighed against judgement. In the run up to the election, I made the point, repeatedly, that none of the candidates had experience as President, and for whatever experience Ms. Palin possessed it was clear that her knowledge and judgement were flat out disqualifications.
