Official: Clinton to push U.S. leadership renewal - CNN.com

Committee members will have "plenty of questions" about donors to former President Bill Clinton's foundation and his international activities. So whaddaya think: Are they going to tread lightly and pass her through by the end of the day? Or is she going to get a gruesome grueling grilling?

...and, just to play devil's advocate, what happens if she doesn't pass?

If she doesn't pass she bides her time and Biden gets forced out, then she becomes VP. Should be within 6 months.

And I suppose you were one of the believers in the "Whitey Tapes" too.

Dream on.

And now, just to spice up the morning, how about a machiavellian answer... like, if Clinton is rejected, a few days later a mysterious case of severe food poisoning will strike a few select committee members. Beware the little fruit baskets she may send to say "thanks for considering me." Bwahaha!

She will get a perfunctory grilling with a couple of moderately difficult but not embarrassing questions. Then she gets to go to the Gaza Strip to try and talk some sense into those fools.

OK, if we're going to be serious, gotta say I totally agree with this. She has a lot of real work to do, and she needs to get right to it. They'll pass her through quickly.

She looks unusually tired at the hearings. She must be burning the midnight oil preparing for her meetings about Gaza.

She will get passed through; she has an enormous amount of work ahead of her and regardless of what personal feelings people have, don't have about her, I think she will do a good job and she clearly understands what needs to be done, how to be gracious in foreign countries, and to be clear...for this job she will be appropriate transparent, straight shooter, and decisive and smart.
