I doubt she could get enough votes to be president of the PTA! It will be interesting to see if she's going to serve a second term as Governor because it doesn't look like the people of Alaska want her in the Senate!

Fear mongering refers to other things: Obama will invoke shiara law! Obama's in league with terrorists! We need to attack Iraq now - they have WMDs! Social Security needs to be fixed this instant! Or in this case, ELOrocks17 claiming that Obama is going to cause mass deaths.

There's a difference.
You mean "Enact our enviromental policies NOW or the oceans will rise & the eastern seaboard will be underwater" or maybe "Vote for us the other guys want a theocracy" or maybe "they are using the Patriot Act we voted for to steal your civil rights - next they'll be sending you to internment camps!"

But only the GOP uses fear mongering, right?

Civil rights are not much use to you if your dead.

Surely this thread was started as a joke. Please, please tell me it was started as a joke!

Sarah Palin IS QUALIFIED to be a beauty queen. . . a hatemonger. . . a corrupt politician. . . perhaps a baby machine, a big game hunter, a cook. . . . . can anyone think of anything else?

I wouldn't vote for Palin to be mayor of this small town of less than 500 people! She is a ditz.

I think she could be one of those gypsy fortune tellers at the county fair when she's older and wrinkled- Madam Sarah.

When the Bush supporters say this, I feel sorry for them - living their lives in cowardly, pants-wetting fear.

Me ... I'll stand with Patrick Henry: "Give me liberty, or give me death."

Romney/Palin in 2012. If the Obama/Reid/Pelosi administration goes the way that I fear it will, it will be time for responsible adults to take over....
