Not left not right nor middle but facts look at with a critical eye
Not past nor future but the hear and now.
Let truth lead us to do righteousness
May God bless Barack Obama to lead us from his heart.

Whatever. Jesus, I have to stay away from this forum. Barack Obama is the president and hopefully, will be in office for 8 years. It's time to focus on the positives. With Obama, it's all good.

Not so much for his start...Richardson had to leave...Chicago and his seat and all the rest of the "great news coming from the State" he was the Senator...I'm still wondering what did he do in the years he was the Senator over there...Oh yeah...he wrote books and was campaigning for the precidency...he forgot about his State after being elected...
I really wonder and hope I'm wrong but until I see proof I have many doubts about the safety of this country under Obama and about what he is planning to do other than changing most of his campaign promisses!

I really wonder and hope I'm wrong but until I see proof I have many doubts about whether many right-wingers would return with one if they were sent out to buy a loaf of bread. See how easy it is to play the Right-Wing Disinformation Media Game of Fill-in-the-Blanks?

I have no anger...that would be stressful and bad for my health...and I'm not a person who let's anger or hate take over...not about this or when some one cuts me off in traffic...if they do so they must have a lot of stress and we all know how bad that is...
I have a healthy common sense and for people already to talk about 8 years of Obama...we all know how stupid that is...He didn't do much as a Senator other than writing books and campaigning for the presidency....He hasn't been the president for 1 day and than to talk about 4 more years on top of the first 4...is just ridiculous!
if he does a good job he will deserve a second term, but let's wait for day # 1 and the rest of the first 2 years until the next campaign starts.

Good for the celebrities.
Now take a look and remember where all the bailout money to various banks is going to come from? Yup, you guessed it ... the taxpayers. It always comes back to us.

You can't blame him. When you're raised that high and continuously told you are " The One", eventually you're going to believe it.

No, you should stay. This is a great place for you because overwhelmingly the majority will fuel your beliefs.
But I have to wonder this ............. Barack Obama is not President yet. He has no experience in this venue, no background to show you what he can do. So how in the name of blazes do you come to the conclusion that you want him as your President for 8 years? How can you possibly state "it's all good" when he's not even President yet?????
It's insane. Like so many other Republicans I'm giving Obama the benefit of the doubt and hoping against hope that he is going to take this country down the right road. I could not be more supportive.
But get real. He's just an ordinary man who has done absolutely nothing extraordinary yet in his lifetime with the exception of being the first elected black President. The rest is yet to be written.

One commentary. That's not exactly a plethora of liberals criticizing Bush for his "extravagant" inauguration.
In fact, it looks more like conservatives trying to make a big deal out of this.

OK Bush spent $40 million and that’s outrageous but $150 MILLION? and don’t throw the “things have gone up garbage either.
Politics as usually Obama, the only change that will take place is the change in your pocket you'll have to give to him.
I hope to Buddha he realizes he's the first black president to have the opportunity to make African American’s proud and prove everyone wrong and all Americans as far as that goes.
But $150 MILLION, not now Obama, what will you do next to angry the American public that if you get that high in the political circle you have to be corrupt considering you pick the wrong person for secretary of the treasury that didn’t pay his taxes for YEARS!
I truly hope I’m wrong but come on people use common sense would you be a better steward of your money then this outrageous spending
Not $150 MILLION what’s next Obama ?

Isn't this paid by individual donors? If so, I don't really mind.

To blogs that all cite the same thing. There wasn't any widespread leftist attack on the spending at Bush's second inauguration. There was an AP article, one that cited a legislator's letter highlighting his personal concerns, and mentioning that in light of the tremendously damaging tsunami that had just happened and that we were at war, that an over-the-top inauguration celebration for a second-term President seemed, well, over-the-top. That's a reasonable observation, not a slam. What's interesting is that going deeper into the google source provided me, there appear to be almost a hundred blogs referencing, word for word, the same "AP slams extravagant inauguration". You know, I think conservative bloggers should be more creative in their concerted attacks. All using the same line, over and over again, doesn't make it true, and it seems rather uniform, and a little boring.
