Shouldn't Barrack Obamas' inaugeration day be designated a national holiday? He is already a hero in my eyes. Look around and see how he has inspired us all and brought this country to its' feet again. Michelle is proud of america for the first time, and so are we. Jesse Jackson is crying tears of joy, and so are we. Ben and Jerry now have 'Yes Pecan' ice cream to comemorate our new leader.....that's good enough for me.
Let our voices be heard!!!

JANUARY 21ST. OBAMA DAY!!!!

Can we at least wait for the man to actually become president before we start labeling him a hero?

What, exactly, has the man actually accomplished to warrant such worship?

I don't see how he could be a Hero, that has to be the most over used word I've heard, he hasn't done anything yet and I highly doubt he will do anything heroic.

That would be nice.

But it's not likely, unfortunately.

Agree...

The people who think he is heroic do you think it is heroic to let people continue to live in homes with asbestos when he was involved in a project to remove it and never finished because it ran out of money.

Why didn't he lobby his rich friends in Chicago to a fundraiser so they could finish this project that in his book he claims all the glory for and omits the real people who started the project?

While I'm willing to give him a chance to do something to deserve it, I agree, he hasn't earned such a title and honor, imo. "Hero" is tossed around and over-used, misused and abused far too much these days.

He's just a politican, become President. Number 44 in a succession. We have a holiday for them. I guess. Do we still do that? Does anyone care? I mean, he's just another sleaze ball, just like the other one. I mean, really... this is shaping up to be a Bush like third term. For that, a holiday may be appropriate.

Just a few more days and my life will change drastically.
My Mother-in-Law said she is going to kill herself when Obama becomes President.

As soon as the swearing in is over, I'm going over to her place. If she's dead I'm going to get her radio. It's a nice battery operated one that cost her a couple hundred bucks.

She never listens to any station other than the one that that Nazi drug addict comes on. I'm going to disinfect it and see if I can get NPR.

OMFG... a hero? I can't understand the fanaticism from some of you... What has Obama done for America besides your unadulterated adoration for him? Its historical, but in no way is Obama a "hero". I don't like his socialist policies and I think he will end up destroying America if he implements them and perhaps that is exactly why he is changing his rhetoric about doing them... The only thing I see him doing is feeding in billions and billions more to banks, car manufacturers, road maintenance, and social programs... if that is what a hero is, that is a sad, sad world...
