They left such a mess yet they spent by far more money than any other inauguration. Nothing but a big expensive gaudy and pretentious display.

Hold onto until they get to a trash can. Or who do you think should pick after you when you throw your trash like a slob onto the ground? Such utter lack of care for the environment.

I think we know where Obama's "volunteerism" is headed. These people expect someone else to pick up their trash for them, they can't volunteer even to do clean up after their big no expense spared parties. $200 million on an inauguration. That's almost 5 times what Bush spent on his.

You can't possibly believe that the Democrats won't spend, spend, spend like crazy.

Get used to it. DC is a bottomless pit. This is only the beginning. You might as well cash out your retirement fund and hand it over to Pelosi. She will give your hard earned money to someone who never worked a day in their life. Quit bickering and just do it.

And we the victorious loved it and consider it money well spent. It was certainly for us a more joyous event then the inauguration of John McCain and the P word would have been. Costs aside we will gladly pay it for the resulting outcome. I know there are those who would have preferred the inauguration of MC and P but hey the vote tally didn't turn out that way. So suck it up and pay the taxes and try again in four years.

So have we FINALLY gotten to the bottom of this, then? Trying to prove Obama voters don't pick up their own litter in order for the accusers not to have to do anything "either"?

Well thank God that amid the passive-aggressive rubble (no pun intended) we have finally gotten to a point. Any point.

I'm actually a little relieved.

Look, if you people don't want to be involved in any volunteer efforts, then...don't. You really aren't required to spend days on a meaningless thread proving why you shouldn't have to care "either" or why other people are "hypocrites".

God, I'd expect more directness from my five-year-old and he's speech delayed!!!

You might have missed it but Rahm isn't calling for volunteers...he is wanting it to be compulsory.

I can't wait until the young and dumb realise what they voted in...
