I am pledigng allegience to the Flag and The Constitution. And I long since took an oath to defend my home and family, with my life (or death) if needs be. These things I will do, Washington and Hollywood, as a whole, can kiss my %^&

Well...YES.

I pledged allegiance to this nation as well,I swore to defend it if called upon.

I think pledging to serve Obama(or any other office holder) is odd and a little creepy.

Pledging to be a servant to a president sounds very communist to me.

Tell me one thing that was pledged that is not a good thing for our country. I agree that saying they will serve our president is strange--I prefer that they would have said they will serve our country. But everything they pledged to do is good and needs to be done. I am glad that we have a president that inspires that kind of loyalty and commitment to service. Now, let's see if they follow through or if this was just a PR moment. This is much like Kennedy's, "Ask what you can do for your country."

Just being celebrities is a good enough reason to mock them.

I serve no one. I can be hired to do a job, but I serve no one but myself, my family and my country as described by the Constitution or the United States of America.

These celebrities signed a pledge back in 2001 stating that Bush was "Not my President" because they didn't vote for him.

Well, I didn't vote for Obama. So, I can't help out. He's not my president according to their logic.

...just following their lead!

I pledge my mortal life to no man, no woman. I do what I think is right, and if I'm wrong, I'll apologize and/or correct the decision. President Obama is just like me, he puts his pants on one leg at a time. I'll support him, yes, but I'll not lay in a puddle of mud so that he can keep his feet clean.

Looks like a bunch of celebrities trying to draw attention to themselves. I suppose it's healthier than getting drunk at a party, or having a "wardrobe misfunction" or whatever trendy thing they do just to get people to read their name on the internet.
