Not everyone agrees with me that killing unborn human beings is evil. But I think many Americans on both sides of the kill issue will agree with me that spending our money to encourage the killing of fewer babies in the homeland, then spending even more of our money to encourage the killing of even more babies elsewhere is, well... There is nothing good coming from an abortion. Have you ever met a woman who has exclaimed, 'I'm so GLAD that I had that abortion and killed my own flesh and blood?!' I dare say no. In fact, statistics prove that the majority of women who have experienced abortion, have gone on to self-destruct their very lives. They feel guilt, hopeless, unforgiven. Of course, there is hope in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He will forgive her sin and cleanse her of this mistake if she humbles her heart to God. So, no, I am not happy about having my hard-earned money be used to fund abortions anywhere, here in the US or abroad.

'cept it mis-states the truth, which I'm sure is already posted on one of the 33 pages of this thread.

Have you ever actually met and talked to someone who has had an abortion? Probably not. I have had 2 friends who have had abortions and yes, it was difficult for them. It was difficult to come to the decision that they were not able to provide a loving, nurturing home for a child at that time in their lives. They did not turn to religion, they did not go around crying about 'killing their own flesh and blood', and many many many years later, neither one regret the decision. Guilting people into religion is kind of pathetic, honestly. How about you go out and actually talk to women who have had abortions and NOT just to convert them to your religion.

I'm glad I had an abortion. I don't feel guilty or hopeless, and have a great life. I know several people who had abortions and they're not self-destructing their lives.
