Default So what do you New Yorkers think of your new senator?

I never heard of Kirsten Gillibrand before, so I'm curious what you guys think. From the little bit I've seen on her, she seems like a good choice. The ACLU approves of her, but she's also a fiscal conservative. And she's from upstate NY, which is nice to see.

Add that she gets an "A" rating from the NRA.

As long as she knows upstate is west of her district, I think she is great

I did a little research on her. She's from Albany, yet she talks of people shooting their Thanksgiving turkeys! Albany, the Capital District of NY, is not the boonies. She is a typical pol, "exaggerating".

I think we should give her (and Roland Burris) a little time and a little benefit of the doubt.

As a Republican, I would vote for her (not that I live in NY). She is incredible on every issue. Tough of illegal immigration, wont yield for amnesty, fiscally conservative with some socially liberal policies.

GREAT PICK! Shes a winner.
