Default Barack Hussein Obama VS The Reverand Al

Oh oh , folks there is trouble on the african american political front! Looks like Old Reverand Al don't take kindly to being cajoled or coerced into an endorsment for the democrat nominee, could it be that Hussein Obama is not liberal enough for the good Rev or is it that he really isnt black enough or could it possibly be that Reverand Al just cant handle the fact that Hussein Obama is stealing his thunder & may finally make him Irelevant Al Sharpton! This looks like a job for the great mediator, sombody call Jesse!

Am I the only who find the repeated use of Barack's middle name by the right-wing smear merchants pandering toward racists who are too ignorant to realize that Hussein is a common name disgusting?

You didn't even use his first name in part of your post. I'm sure Mr. Obama is proud of his name, he has no reason not to be. But it is not Obama's campaign that constantly insists on printing his middle name on his campaign materials as that is not part of the conventional use of names in American English, it is those who have a particular bone to pick with him. You know this, you just don't like being called on it.

Take a look at his campaign site. http://www.barackobama.com/

Like 99% of the people in this country (including George Bush), he presents himself using his first and last name. The conventional press sees fit to do likewise. To state otherwise and then call those who call you out on it racist is disingenuous and absurd.

Frankly it escapes me how you can conclude someone is racist by calling the person by their full name. Now that my friend is reaching. Have you never heard of George W. Bush? Are they being racist?

I find it interesting that it offends or bothers people like yourself! I dont see anything wrong with pointing out he has a popular muslim name and would not want him as a president because of his heritage. Racist, Racist, Racist hate, hate, hate, you guys should lighten up, after awhile things just lose their meaning! What do you think Rev Al's problem is with him? does it make him a racist?

Frankly, if you don't see certain media capitalizing on the anti-middle eastern sentiments of certain individuals and haven't noticed that the sorts of people that are the ONLY ones consistently using his middle name in common discourse are those who take issue with him, your ability to 'read' the media is clearly either suspect or clouded.

If you don't like Obama fine, state why you don't like him. Hiding behind the 'oh my God his middle name is Hussein if I say it enough other people won't like him too' approach is an act of moral cowardice, and that is exactly what I am watching the media do, it is despicable.

Did you hear what Walker Bush did the other day? He was walking with Herbert Walker Bush and Walker Texas Ranger. What a group!

You either say Obama, Mr. Obama, Barack Obama, or Mr. Barack Obama. Why would you use only his middle and last names, TWICE? Right, because it makes no sense in retrospect.
