Promises that I never expected him to uphold, anyways. I didn't vote for him based upon promises.

Here's the politifact link in question. He's got a good track record so far, only breaking one, while keeping 6 and compromising on 1.

Then why did you vote for him?

Because I agreed with him on his stances more than I agreed with McCain on his stances.

Thanks for the Obameter link - what a valuable project! I thought the broken promise was going to involve hiring Daschle, though.

The Lily Ledbetter Act he had been saying he would sign right away, though, so it wasnt really a surprise - but he did say he'd give the five days. Im glad they're so scrupulous.

Obama fans will take anything Obama will do...even if more and more employees of him will not have paid their taxes...but wait till you don't pay your taxes.

I beg your pardon. Please reread my post.

Obama's mistake was in making such a bold statement in the first place. He was right to correct an abomination perpetrated by the GOP as quickly as possible. How many women would have lost the right to correct an injustice if Obama had waited the 5 days?

You don't compromise with other people's civil rights.

Exactly. There are those who plough right ahead with their "all Obama voters are total hypocrites!" posts no matter what evidence they have to the contrary. I think it's more comfortable for them that way. (shrug)
