This is a tough call. Neither Daschle or Gregg are bad choices for their competence in the positions they were chosen for (Secretaries of Health and Human Services and Commerce, respectively) but they are bad choices for the baggage both bring to the job:
Daschle was whoring himself out to special interest groups for millions, that creates a clear conflict of interest, plus, he was in arrears on his taxes. This choice was simply terrible.
Then you have Judd Gregg, who has a strong anti-labor, anti middle class voting record, the same people who are largely responsible for Obama being in the White House. He voted with Bush and the neocons 83% of the time he was in the Senate.
I hope Obama knows something about Gregg that the rest of us dont, and I hope that its something positive, but I dont see how choosing him for Commerce is a good idea.
