And I too was against that. It was non-sense, even the bill that got passed was sheer stupidity. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of tax cuts, even though I stand to benefit from it in the short term. But, it is the longer term that matters. So, we've got to be smart... be pragmatic to take logical steps (job creation and spending cuts), and plan for the future. I do see a point to (much of) the current package. It is likely to help, even with its size being about 5% of the GDP. (By comparison, the Chinese stimulus plan is about 10% of its GDP). So, there are some more aggressive folks out there, if not as outlandish and spread out as the Japanese were.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 44% of U.S. voters now support the plan while 40% are opposed. A week ago, just 37% favored the legislation, and 43% were opposed.
