Agree, I admire them very much for this. The manipulative visuals are brilliant too. They know their market so well....

Roger Ailes, old Atwater protege (as was you know who) - admire the hell out of him. He created a world.

Man of the Year (2006)
Maybe we'll have a life imitates art moment.
I don't mean to compare limbaugh so directly to williams, who is my favorite comedian.

I can't listen to limbaugh for very long these days - I listened to him semi-regularly years ago, and I don't remember being so repulsed by the guy back then (10+ years ago). Obviously I don't find him to be a talented comedian.

Irrelevant tangent:
I've noticed some conservatives rail against movie stars making large amounts of money.. but they don't mention that limbaugh makes more than most movie stars yearly ($33 million). That is more than any sports star as far as I know (its more than any baseball player, and typically baseball players have had the highest salaries).

I don't care how much money Rush or Brad Pitt make or any athlete for that matter. I think the issue with the limo libs is they say they are for conservation of the planet and they say are for the causes of the little people yet they continue to live so disconnected from what they say they care about. It doesn't stop them from flying back and forth coast to coast, country to country just to attend a party or a lavish 24 to 48 hour vacation. If I had such a big mouth for liberal causes and a wallet the size of theirs I would be ashamed to fly around in a private jet and to own several huge mansions just to house in some cases 1 or 2 people. Yeah I know the rich Republican stuff that's coming next but at least they are Republicans and are not out trying to promote socialism and the global warming agenda. I don't think these celebrities would really like living like the rest of us, I'm not sure they get the whole Socialism thing until it really happens to them. In other words they are clueless.

Anyway........why are libs listening to Rush? What do they care? They are just giving him ratings and he will continue to make more money from his sponsers. They are contributing to his wallet.

I am a liberal that only wishes (missed mega Millions today- darn) he could flit around the world in a private jet. I guess I'll make do with a 1992 Buick station wagon with 180k miles on it.

At least most of the liberals have an idea how many houses they own.

And they listen to Rush for the entertainment value.

With the liberals, however, they know in advance it's nothing more than entertainment.

Actually, I do not think the Republicans are bothered by Obama much less than the Democrats were bothered by GW, it's something that goes with the territory.
I do, however, find it odd that Obama (and other Dems) feel the need to mention Hannity and Limbaugh on a consistent basis. Neither are elected officials, simply talk show hosts with opinions that differ from those of the White House. I would like them to spend their time on economic issues and trimming all of the pork from the proposed budget.
