Another one bites the dust. Apparently Gregg and the repubs are concerned about the WH becoming more involved in running the census. After the Congressional Black Caucus and a Latino group expressed concerns about Gregg running the census, the White House suggested it would play a larger role in performing the census. Historically, the groups believed to be most undercounted are inner-city minorities, who tend to vote Democratic. The WH, however, said it will not remove the Census Bureau from the Commerce Department's jurisdication. It has been reported that a former staffer of Gregg's is under investigation for allegedly taking baseball and hockey tickets from a lobbyist in exchange for legislative favors while working for Gregg. Gregg says he is a not a target and will cooperate fully.

I'm glad. I didn't like the deal that was cut for Lynch to appoint a republican to Gregg's senate seat. Gregg will lose his senate seat to a dem next election.

Apparently, that's the difficulty. Gee, maybe he should appoint Barney Frank to appease the gay lobby and continue the malfeasance.

Why? Barney Frank is celebrated among Dems. You're not a fan of his? Oh, well.

I think he caved to Boehner and his ilk. Gregg dared to break off from his peer group. Either that or he planned on doing this all along.

Malfeasance? Were you living in another country the past 8 years? Malfeasance is back home in Texas (Oops, that one is the Moron, I meant to say Malfeasance is in Wyoming)
