Oh - I feel so sorry for you!!!! Booo hoooo!!!

I busted my butt for years at college and work and have done well, and I fully support Obama's proposal... it's the fair thing to do.

The Tax Foundation - Summary of Latest Federal Individual Income Tax Data

Quote:
The top-earning 25 percent of taxpayers (AGI over $64,702) earned 68.2 percent of the nation's income, but they paid more than four out of every five dollars collected by the federal income tax (86.3 percent). The top 1 percent of taxpayers (AGI over $388,806) earned approximately 22.1 percent of the nation's income (as defined by AGI), yet paid 39.9 percent of all federal income taxes. That means the top 1 percent of tax returns paid about the same amount of federal individual income taxes as the bottom 95 percent of tax returns

mpc, I was a small middle class business owner until my health gave out, and I can tell you that if people/business/rich/etc. get taxed at a higher rate, they find deductions or things to either get them into the next lower tax bracket, or find items which are deductable as business expenses. this is why we have accountants and tax attorneys, to circumvent uncle sam's tax burden/laws unpon us. businesses don't shut up because their taxes were raised, they find ways to help themselves. and, you're onto something here. the affluent do not think or reason as the middle class does, they are on a much higher level of thought than a small business owner is.

yes, yes, I know they'll pay more, but as long as they make what they're accustomed to, they'll be A OK,

so please stop talking as though you were a millionaire.

Warren Buffet is the first one who favors tax hikes on the rich and he's the U.S.'s richest man.

I swear the rich and those that "work" are two different people

working people spend their money on lotto tickets and trying to "look rich" while millionaires spend all their TIME hoarding their money and trying to "look poor" as can bee.

you might have a couple millionaires in your neighborhood.

Warren Buffet's home is worth like $300,000 yet HE'S worth 50 BILLION dollars.

please get over yourselves, Obama's only trying to do a service for the people who are struggling as we speak.

I have a job and the only time I complain is when my light bill is jacked up by 30%

but I'll get over it since my retirement won't be around for another 40 years.

Not remotely... I just have compassion for my fellow man.

In other words, you're an arrogant boaster...
