The entire crew is culpable: don't forget John Yoo and our old buddy from the 80s, Elliot Abrams. And of course people like Brit Hume, who got his start writing for Rampart mag, BTW. Delusions of grandeur abounded, and we're living through the results. I say we send them all a Candygram.

As GolfGod mentions, there is no "became" about it - at least not in the lifetime s of most posters on this board. GOP Presidents have not been financially responsible for AT LEAST 50 years (and that most certainly includes GOP hero Reagan).
