Obama lovers say that he is not a Socialist, and that his policies have nothing to do with Socialism; than what is Socialism. Here are Obamas plans for his four year term, you decide:

1. Wants the privately owned banks to be federally funded and managed.

2. Wants all private citizens to make the same income and live the same lifestyle.

3. Wants increased caps on how much private and public businesses can make.

4. Wants increase funding for welfare and other entitlements.

5. Wants the government to run and manage the radio waves and television airwaves (Fairness doctrine) First Ammendment

6. Wants an end to private gun ownership Second Ammendment

7. Wants to limit the states rights Tenth Amendment

These are just a few of the many socialist ideals that "The Messiah" wants to inact. Yes fellow Americans Change is here.

Socialism:
- School buses: Paying for somebody else's kid to be picked up and be taken to school because some people are too lazy to drive them to school
- WIC: Free food and education to women that like to have kids but shouldn't
- Social security: Government takes my money for my retirement, but republicans say that I won't get anything even though I pay 5% of my salary before tax
- Police: My car is worth as much as my computer and thugs wave at me in the street... then why should I pay for other people to be protected and have police stop me everytime I put my hands in my pockets?
- Farmers subsidies: The claim to hate socialism, but are happy as hell to get their government check so they can drive around in their brand new pick-up truck

There's many more, but I can't remember

Good then I'll quit my job and sip margaritas by my pool while someone else pays my mortgage and sends me a check. Hmmmm I'm starting to like this guy. I should tell my kids not to bother going to college since there's nothing to strive for. The more you make the more they are going to take.

I'll bust your bubble on this one,
the government owns and controls the public airwaves.

You know what would happen if they didn't,
Anybody could start their own radio station and it would be complete chaos on the airwaves.

In college, we even made a radio transmitter and were told to make sure that it didn't go farther than X distance because we would be braking the law.

The Government (FCC) regulates the airwaves, they dont own or run the airwaves.

Pure, true socialism would require the overthrow of capitalism. The two cannot fully exist side by side. Because Obama is left of Centre, it's obvious that his policies will be more socialistic than the Republicans. But that doesn't make him socialist. Just like the Republican ideas will be more libertarian/fascistic than the Democrats, but it doesn't make them actual fascists or libertarians.

Oh, and I'd believe you more if you had links to your claims. I'm skeptical about some of them, especially number two. Progressive taxation is not socialist. Just ask Adam Smith, the father of free enterprise capitalism.

Maybe not, but what would you call it? Of course I guess in truly and openly socialist countries, the government just takes everything, so there is no charade or premise that things are fair.

So you think republicans are fascist and dems are fascist? If so then lets let the cat out of the bag and have the socialist party against the fascist party.

HUH? Where did that come from? I said nothing about anyone being facist.

What I said was that so-called progressive taxation is unfair and approaches being socialist, although not quite.

I know you didn't but you didn't get macks point. Macks point was that the definition being used to call Obama is a socialist can be just as fairly used to call the republicans fascist. So if you want to use the definitions fairly then lets do so. The socialist (dems) against the fascist ( republicans).
