I don't think that they are blind...I think that there is a chromosome missing or mutated. Nobody can be that stupid and lemming like and actually share the same DNA structures as an intelligent, alert, aware, thought processing human being. It might be apparent in a brain scan. There might be short circuiting or something like that which does not allow these individuals to dissect a situation and draw a cohesive, sensible conclusion. Once a thought or opinion (someone else's) is imprinted on their psyche, they cannot veer off or have an epiphany. There are no great realizations or awakenings. I feel sorry for them and yet I despise them for their utter stupidity. I am glad that I am not one of them and yet their ignorance just might be bliss...to them anyway.

Yes now they want us to re-do these mortgages for the people that lied on their mortgage applications. The people with bad credit who will not pay their mortgage no matter what the payment amount is.

Actually yes, had he been responsible with his policies we wouldn't be in this mess. Who is stealing from the private sector? I think you need to read the constitution, the congress has every right to collect taxes for the welfare of the nation.

not "welfare", but "general welfare". that means national use, not private nor state usage.

And the Constitution still does say anything about welfare checks either.

At this point it's acedemic to argue who's at fault. I don't see how either Dems or Reps are responsible for the decline economies across the world. The US, Great Britian, France, Russia .....etc. are all in this situation. The culprit is the unrestrained greed of the financial industry world wide. The US will, and is, recovering first. This is because we are better able to afford the cost of doing so. The Obama administration is doing well in directing the recovery efforts. In a few months when the Repubs see that their efforts to prevent a successful recovery are not working, they will get on board as well. They will need to try and salvage some political capital so that in 2 or 3 decades they may, once again, have some influence.

Yes, that's S.U.R.P.L.U.S, for those of you criticizing Obama who don't recognize that word. 8 years they had.

8 years to invest in alternative energy sources to minimize our dependence on oil. 8 years to incorporate lending regulations to keep predatory lenders and their ambiguous, deceptive contracts away from unsuspecting buyers. 8 years to develop a foundation so that jobs could be created for Americans, not boosting the economies of India and Chinia. 8 years to curtail illegal immigration. 8 years to deal with the street gang problem. 8 years to stop this flow of Indians moving into our communities with H-1B visas, where they displace American workers and practice separatist behavior, 8 years to incorporate education reform. 8 years to put mechanisms in place to avoid a housing crisis. They had 8 years to control gas prices. 8 years to revamp health care and the income tax code. So forth and so on. They had 8 years!

What did they do? They squandered nearly a TRILLION dollars fighting an ideological war that we could not win. It was like trying to eliminate the clouds with gunfire. Might as well been declared a "war on clouds." This lack of action on the domestic agenda, this severe neglect, is the reason why the country is in a free fall. Those of you who supported and voted for the village idiot, who supported his reelection and who supported McCain, should be ashamed of yourselves. You were and remain a part of the problem. You have absolutely no say in the direction of this country. Your opinions on what Obama is doing to correct this problem are largely irrelevant because history has shown that your political instincts are unreliable and wrong. If you voted for Bush the second time around, you should be hiding, doing more and talking less. It's laughable to read criticism of Obama by someone who didn't have sense enough to recognize that Bush didn't deserve a second term. The "no taxes" argument didn't work.

Thank God we have a great problem solver at the helm in Barack Obama to tackle these problems. It may take time, but he will resolve them.
Hmmmm....

I wonder if we will see prices, but not wages, return to the levels we had before Raygun took over? That would be a proper kind of deflation because it would be kept within the financial sector.
