You may be right, the Dow tripled at the expense of these poor and middle class workers who know have nothing.

The stockholders got richer, CEOs got richer, republican tax breaks for eliminating jobs, cutting benefits and sending jobs oerseas.

Again, only the rich got richer. They got richer and had record profits by magic??....only in the conservative and republican mind.

To the OP:
I guess you're not too good with that whole looking at the calendar thing. When did the stock market crash (September 2008)? When the current banking crisis begin (early 2008)? Economic activity here is connected to economic activity there, all across the country. The effects of things going sour in one part of the economy can eventually affect things in other parts of the economy. And those effects can take quite a few months to kick in.

Glad to have helped you out.

Why aren't the churches making sure these people get taken in somewhere?

Hmmm

13 years?

Something's wrong with your math. 2009-13= 1996.. Bill Clinton was in office.

2009-3= 2006 G.W. Bush was in office. Bush saw the Down drop from 14,000- 8,000.. That isn't tripled..

Nice try. Nice time have your Asian friend help you out with this.

I notice the article indicated that in 2007-2008 the number of homeless had grown 15%. I don't believe Obama was in office at that time was he? What is happening now is a continustion of that.

Quote:

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson knows the crisis is growing. As foreclosure and unemployment rates skyrocket, the homeless rate is now on the same track. From 2007 to 2008, Sacramento County's "new homeless" rate rose a whopping 15 percent.

End quote.

Typcial - I'm working my a** off, paying taxes, trying to keep the company going and these guys are off camping! Smoking cigs, ordering take-out, shopping at Kohls, and hanging around a campfire. And they wonder why we Repulbicans are so mad at the Left!
