Not everything written to this board is descriptive of any actual reality.

Being a high level politician (or anything else) requires a fairly big ego, but Obama is not a narcissist. The Bushes, Raygun and Clinton, well maybe.

One doesn't need a PhD to see this obvious fact. Everyone has narcissistic tendencies, a matter of degrees, but a true narcissist is on the extreme end of the spectrum. (Is thought to arise from an abusive or traumatic childhood.) Unfortunately there is no definitive treatment for this disorder, as a narcissist sees nothing wrong with himself. Insight into others may be remarkable but have little to NO insight involving themselves. For the most part treatments fail for the narcissist. The treatment efforts are usually more geared toward their victims. Suggestions anyone?

Excellent analysis

Just too bad this thread isn't at all about Bush. It's about Obama, but in your usual mode of operation, you seem unwilling to accept that.

These are good points, but don't think Bush has the actual disorder. He is an addictive personality and as such blinds him to good decisionmaking skills. He probably also was spoiled and did not have to be held accountable growing up...also not just real bright. Too bad a psych eval not done on ALL politicians before allowed into office, to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting.

We have eight years of evidence concerning Bush, and nothing but speculation about President Obama...barely 100 days into his administration. I just call it like I see it. It seems to have struck a nerve.

I don't believe that anyone could go through the electoral process and take the job of president without many of these characteristics. They apply to both Bushes, to Nixon, to Clinton, to Reagan, and to Obama etc.
