Have Democrats Ever Met A Democrat They Didn't Like?
Carter got elected and they all loved him. Bill Clinton got elected, and they all loved him. Barack got elected, and it's as if they were all sixteen year old girls watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.
How is it possible that even when certain Democratic policies are stupid, like the cap and trade scam ( actually a gross tax ), that Dems are blind to such crap and continue to hold the torch for their beloved Senators and Representatives?
Isn't there even one Democrat that disagrees with Nancy Pelosi?
Daschle couldn't be director of Health and Human Services because he didn't pay his taxes. Any love lost there?
On several dozen occassions, I have stated that even though I am a Democrat, I am not a fan of Barney Franks, Nancy Pelosi, and others that I consider far left. I am a moderate who leans left. I like President Obama. I thought Bill Clinton was an excellent president except for his unfortunate inablility to keep his pants zipped. I sometimes vote for Republicans--in Texas, if you only vote for Democrats, you won't be voting in all positions on the ballot. If I have to choose between far right and far left, neither of which is good, I will vote far left every time. If I have to choose between a moderate Republican and a far left Democrat, I just might vote for the Republican and have in a few cases.
Now, my question is, have you ever met a Republican you didn't like? Reverse the question you asked us and answer it for me.
I hate the Clintons and basically their whole faction of the party. I hate Israeli stooges like Nancy Pelosi, Jane Harman and Joe Lieberman, and pretty much every elected Democrat from New York. I think John Edwards sounds like a tent-show or tv evangelist (and ****s like one too). Dennis Kucinich is honest but he creeps me out for reasons I can't explain.
Barack Obama was not my first choice, that was Mike Gravel, but he is probably the best politician in either party who could actually have won the presidency.
As far as finding a recent Republican that I disagree with .... well I don't know.
Most of them are behind lower taxes. I agree with that.
I suppose I wouldn't agree with Larry Craig's thing about picking up another guy in a bathroom. But, Democrat's would probably think that's OK.
I don't know of many Republicans that are in favor of this all out spending, and I find it curious that all Democrats are in favor of spending beyond America's wildest dreams.
I am concerned about the spending. I was concerned about Bush's spending. I don't know what the answer is to this crisis. Economists disagree as to how much spending is needed to stimulate the economy. I am just praying that in a few years we will stop deficit spending and start trying to get back to a budget surplus. It is going to take a long, long time. I will probably not live to see a balanced budget. (I am 64.)
