Bush made the mistake of giving the banks free money without any restriction on the use. That was foolish.

America didn't come out of the depression by being fiscally conservative, and would be a 3rd world country if not for Keynsian/Roosevelt policies, most of which are being emulated by Obama.
When has government ever spent money to make money? That's capitalism something Obama is hell bent on destroying. When the government spends money it never makes money it only spends more money, government should be like a small child and seen and not heard.

Jeez Obama and Biden can't even get on the same page as to what the story is.

America came out of WWII because we were the only industrialized nation that had any infrastructure left to manufacture and produce... then we got complacent and found ourself falling behind when the rest of the world came back online... after we paid to rebuild it.

The 1930's.

If anything Obama is trying to save capitalism. If he was hell-bent on destroying it, he'd let the people continue to suffer by not offering stimulus packages or re-storing industries. Succesful capitalism is predicated on normal citizens being able to purchase. If the last 8 years or Reagan taught us anything, it's that the economy is best when it "trickes up" not the other way around. Basically if not for Obama, America would be on a slippery slope to being a borderline successful nation with only a few prominent industries and the bulk of the people at working/low class status.
