The only question is will democrats have control for 4 or 8 years.

If I was a democrat, I would not be so cocky as I know my party will lose again. It ALWAYS happens.

We've taken control of auto companies... That has changed my life 0%. Name one bad thing that has come from "controlling" the auto companies. Seriously.
We knew all about the stimulus package, you act as if Obama just all of a sudden spent a bunch of money without telling anyone. We all knew and talked about the stimulus package, and then decided it was the best thing to do for America.
We are now "more divided than ever"? Prove it. You can't cuz its just hyperbole.

And technically you're wrong, the Republicans ALWAYS lose since currently the Democrats control the presidency and congress, but I'm sure there will be a time when some republicans make a come back. Remember everybody eventually loses, Republican or Democrat, so TiC's statement makes a moot and irrelevant point.

I see the economy is still in the throws of the bursting biggest speculative bubble in history and unemployment is still increasing as expected. The real recovery will become noticeable in mid 2010 and be well under way through 2011 & 2012. I expect this to create the conditions for another Democratic victory in 2012.

After that I expect there will be major reforms to the banking and securities industry to control speculative gambling and excess executive overhead. The latter may be done by restoring progressivity to our income tax system.

I expect the Republican Party will split into the Plutocrat Party, the Libertarian Party and the Morality Party.

I am an Obama supporter and will remain so even if he gets us into another Imperial War.
