Do you ask the same question to those who distort Bush's name? If not, well then.....you get the idea.

FYI, Bloomberg is an Independent, not a Republican. The GOP and Independent Party both nominated him to run. He barely won too - local news is now reporting it may be as close as 1%?
He changed the laws so he could run for Mayor again, shady stuff, IMO.

Virginia has been "blue" for the last 4-5 years. The district in NY voted for obama in 2008 - how conservative could it be?
Now NJ, that is just delicious beyond words, especially since obama invested so much political capital there, as well as his "start power" and neck.

He is technically an Independent. He was only on the GOP line because they put him up for it. You are local, correct? Would you call Bloomberg a Republican?
What do you think about him changing the laws so he could run for a third term after he bashed Guiliani for trying to do the same?

All Republicans so far,
Democrats get ANY wins?
How about even the Atlanta Mayor race?

Bloomberg won because Bloomberg is Bloomberg. Bloomberg is hardly a far right nut job Republican or NYC wouldn't have had him for all of these terms. NYC is the bluest place that you will ever find.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was never really a Republican; neither was he really a Democrat, the political party he previously left. From DINO (Democrat in name only), he became a RINO (Republican in name only) and now I guess one might call him, what, an UNO (unaffiliated in name only)?
Actually, Bloomberg is to party affiliation what some New Yorkers are to their baseball teams - when they're winning they're all for them, but lose and it's the Bronx cheer.

Do not put Bloomberg in the category of the nut jobs that have infilitrated the Republican party like termites. Although New Yorkers have some issues with him, he is not one of the wackadoodles.

Who cares? These votes were votes against the Obama administration and the direction the democrats have taken.

Congrats to the Republicans. You guys put up a strategy and it paid off. Most telling is the number of independents that swung to the right. I'm sure we'll have many more political face offs. all for the better of our nation. Once again, congratulations on your victories.

Democrat or Republican; Liberal or Conservative. It's like choosing between the gun or the noose for your own execution.
This is the unfortunate fact: the basis for a Republican win is that it is the only other party of choice.
Here's another unfortunate fact: the basis for a Democratic win is that it is the only other party of choice.
This is the plight of an independent.
