For a governors' job that only pays $100k/year, the National Republican Party spent hundreds of millions of dollars here. Like usual, the republicans used personal attacks on the democratic opponet, Creigh Deeds. They even made fun of the way he stuttered and his rural roots. Its like a well oiled Karl Rove machine that has taken over our country now. The fat cats put up the money to be sure this new VA gov will help them out when it comes to decisions of building roads, houses, prisons. The people are out of the political process totally! I have not figured out what Obama is all about but I am beginning to believe he is a closet republican and he is enjoying his brief stay at the White House. Start watching for cuts to transportation, public education(the money is going to Christian or private schools), tolls on VA's highway for those entering this state, an end to stores that sell booze(the "sin" factor). They couldn't strip any rights away from Gays, since they have already done that. Haven't we seen this scenario with George Bush?
The large African American population was asleep yesterday since Deeds tried to ignore them! They will feel the pain of the new govs' agenda the most sadly! Racism is also at play in VA, Big Time! When the riots start(like they did in the 60's) how will politics change?

From what I understand, McDonnell made transportation one of the issues. In my opinion, if a Republican wants to win over the Northern Virginia liberals, they'll make traffic a campaign issue.

Hmmm... who the heck is the National Republican Party? You mean John Adams's party?

I think maybe with all that racist talk and mixed up names, maybe you are getting the RNC mixed up with the National Alliance or National Socialism or something?

Anyway, you clearly don't have any clue what you are talking about. You'd better just stick with GOP cause it's already in alphabetical order for ya

Evil Republican, you don't have a clue of what you write about. But I will say you are typical of so many of your cohorts. When there is a discussion on an issue you don't agree with, you try to attack the person verbally. Its almost like you are afraid of democrats or something. You don't have to insult me I don't know you or do I care! I like America and it really saddens me to see this type of behavior on this forum. When we discuss politics there is a lot of emotion going on from everyone and I really don't see what we accomplish.
You have a lot of hostility and anger that needs to be addressed and I guess you use this forum for your own purposes. Good Luck to you!
