Haven't read the thread, but my thoughts are that the greatest nightmare scenario for this country would be a choice of Hillary Clinton vs. John McCain. Both have shown the propensity to be all over the political map to suit the audience and a knack for always saying what the majority seems to want to hear at the time.
McCain once was a man of some principle until he got caught up in the politics. Now he's about as wishy-washy as they get. Hillary tries to borrow a few moves from her hubby, but "Slick Hilly" she ain't....
