I've really been enjoying Lewis Black lately.
I always just end up watching bits that my kid sends me.
I enjoy both Black's metaphors as well as his delivery; he reminds me of Carlin before the bitterness set in. (I know Carlin had a tough time when his wife died.)

Chris Rock picked up the torch that Richard Pryor lay down.
Not everyone has that sharp insight into human behavior coupled with the ability to lay it all out so that you can't help but crack up, while simultaneously reflecting on the absurdity of it all. When Pryor made fun of white people he was just hellaciously funny, but I especially loved when he was riffing on little kids.

Sarah Silverman has true flashes of comic brilliance but it seems as if she is trying too hard.
I can't tell whether she is going for shock value or not. I don't care about the non-political correctness, it's just that most of her stuff just doesn't make me laugh. Yet I see intelligence there, maybe she just needs time, I dunno.

I don't know Daniel Tosh, but I agree with you about Demetri--that guy comes up with good stuff.

Larry is goofy; did you get his latest DVD Morning Constitutions? It's pretty good, but I gotta admit though, it's more fun watching all 4 of those guys (Jeff, Bill, Ron and Larry).

In one of Larry's stand up bits on his new DVD, he talks about a movie or some show called "Meet The Fokkers" and he mentioned Barbara Streisand. Then he goes "I watched it and I tell ya.. I want my Fokkin' money back!"

George Lopez has to be one of the funniest people alive.. He cracks the best Mexican jokes which are for the most part true.
