Didn't see audio cassette tape player listed there.
Most of my life I've had stereo systems/boom-boxes, the combo. item w/2 tape decks and radio,
first with record player and then later with CD player instead.

I'm a "late adopter" of new technology, and my home growing up was technologically behind-the-times,
so I haven't had most of these things listed in poll. VCR, CD player, briefly a DVD player-
only rented the cable tv box while I had service for a few years.

Wow--I've had all but ten of these. Is satellite radio on there? I have those in the cars & a separate unit in the house. Also have a 3D HDTV--don't see that listed either.

I guess we would be considered early adopters. Not only did we have an early Betamax, we were in the test market for DirecTV in Mississippi back in the early 90s.

I'm surprised at the lack of Blu-Ray ownership. You do know that Blu-Rays have, by far, the BEST quality video of any commercial format, don't you? They are available for under $100, and far better than satellite, cable (yuck), or streaming. (I didn't vote for Blu-Ray, but I own one now). The difference is definitely noticeable on my refurbished 2011-model 47" TV, which got mediocre ratings for its 2D picture quality.

Also, the lack of DVR ownership (which I think, nationally, is at somewhere near two-thirds of households), and the prevalence of AM Stereo-compatible radio ownership (I somewhat doubt that 36% of respondents owned one...they were relatively rare for most of the history, the FCC didn't standardize any format, and almost no station broadcasts in AM Stereo any more).

Yes, I did mean "internet radio" by "network radio tuner". That's what my Squeezebox Boom calls itself.

I asked for an 8 track player for christmas (I would also like a Videodisc player but seeing they are so big and I only have 1 movie,I think i will wait on that I dunno)

Right now I only have 1 8 track (Ah man!!) but its a good one -- One I also have on a cassette! (ZZ TOPs first album)
