I have cable mainly for news, $49/mos., which is WAY too high in my opinion. Only have dial up internet to check emails. Never darken the door of a theater anymore, is just an unpleasant experience, so many people now out of control and with bad "manners"; so why pay $10 to be miserable for a few hours??! If I see a movie I might like, I ask around about it, check reviews and may buy it when it comes out. Maybe one or two every 6 months. Have a large collection of classics, my own home movie entertainment.

If guests come to town or I go out of town, we go out to the nicer places, maybe 4-6 times/year. Just a fuddy duddy I guess. I like the outdoors, hiking, etc. so maybe $5 to get into a state park.

I like your way of being entertained, and you are not a fuddy duddy! Well, if you are, then so am I!

I too see no sense in blowing money on going to the theatre to watch a movie. And would definitely not buy refreshments there!! They cost twice as much as the ticket!

The theater monopolies have a good thing going don't they? What is the price of a ticket now? $10 or more? Then you pay double or triple for a coke and popcorn, so inane. Sells well to a dull and addicted public I guess.

We 'wing it' too. I would say a few hundred, including everything. I can't cook and hubby likes movies. Recipe for disaster i guess.

I collect DVD's...don't know why I am attracted to that but I just do. And dinners occasionally are nice. Nothing expensive, but I spend a little bit on entertainment.

We might eat out once a month, maybe $30 a pop. Other than that there is the $99 cable/internet/phone bundle.
