No, but I am watching less TV because I rediscovered reading. I don't watch TV on the internet either, but I'll watch various videos and some movies via the net. Actually I don't think I've watched TV in about six years.
It depends on the length of the ad. AdBlock if you have Chrome or Firefox is the best way to avoid them. It's free but it's so awesome that I actually gave them a donation.
I don't watch much TV....but I usually have it on when I am on the internet.
Youtube........I used to LOVE it. But they changed the buffering algorithm.....now video only buffers when you are actually playing the video......and even then, the buffering seems to have been slowed down. Many times I want to buffer a video before watching it.....this is good for non-linear access to various parts of the video.....can't do that very efficiently anymore.
And Youtube has just gotten very carried away with the stupid ads. Wow, you mean I have to watch a 30 second ad in order to view a 10 second video???? I am starting to go to other sites more and more......Youtube kinda sucks now.

Well, ViMeo and Daily Motion are two other free sites.
There's also Hulu and Amazon Instant video, but those are not entirely free.
Are You Watching Less TV Because of YouTube?
Yes , less TV , as i live in the dorm, the TV set is not on the room and i only has the computer , so i only can see some videos and films by Internet. For teenagers, they would rather use Internet instead of watching TV, for older persons like my parents, they don't familiar with the computer ,so they like choose to watch TV.
There are literally millions, if not billions, of videos. Thus far, I've watched documentaries, interviews, movies, debates, video reviews, etc. You name it, and I've probably seen it. I have learned a lot from such videos, and they've broadened my horizons in unimaginable ways.
I now find that I'm watching a lot less television, and I'm considering eliminating cable--and only using antennae tv, which offers the basics.
What about you? Do you find that the Internet, namely YouTube, has made you watch less television?
No, I rarely watch anything on YouTube. I only use the internet to watch TV programs that I wasn't able to watch when they were broadcast originally.
I used to really like watching Youtube videos , now......just takes too long to buffer a 10 minute video, even in 144p
