What things have you noticed on TV channels as mistakes or tech problems??

1 time I was recording a movie from cinemax (in the 90s,analogue cable) and I dunno if something wasnt cued up right or what but the movie 'HARD TO KILL' was on and the first 20 seconds or so was DEAD AIR (blank screen) then when the opening finally started the rating slide that came on was G not R... (It said the movie was rated G) then after that slide another 5 seconds or so passed with a blank screen..... (I think they knew @ that point the wrong movie was cued) -- Finally the movie started

Interesting..... Ya dont really see any tech problems on pay channels (cinemax,HBO,etc) -- I wonder if someone is right there making sure movies start on time, etc?? (I reckon so otherwise that 20 second delay might have been longer)

Sometimes I notice a tv commercial will be cut off in the middle of it and it doesnt finish. I do not know if that counts or if that is what you wanted to discuss or not. I wonder if when that happens the company that paid to air the commercial gets a refund? I wonder if the company even ever realized the commercial did not air completely?

up until last year, there was never anything good on TV, nothing that stimulated the mind, then all of a sudden, there were tons of shows that were and are really interesting, for instance, Outlander.....
but for me, The Newsroom was the best.

anyway, it seems like the writers for shows are getting much better.

Rape, murder, child molestation, kidnapping, torture, abuse in any form, child, spouse, animal, drugs and so on and so forth.

We see these things in the news and it's appalling at the very least. Show it on prime time tv and it's called entertainment.

I'd say that's a mistake.

Tell me about it. I was at a friends house and their kids were watching, "Nick at Nite". Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a quick station ID promo they were doing....

"YOUR WATCHING NICK AT NITE" (yes, they spelled it "your"). Brutal.

To each their own.

I agree and I can't believe that promos showing these things are supposed to entice viewers to watch. They remind me of those old Detective Magazine covers.
