Me, yes.
If I have to do rock or feminist radio, I'm out there like Pat Benatar and if it is show tunes, then like Jack Jones, playing as much to the mic as to the audience.
Now may be that is mostly about acting, being able to deliberately ham it up, relish in the part entirely......but I have to wonder.
Today, when I was packing, I came across the lyrics for two parts I was thinking of doing, "The Hell of It" (which I did do) and "Special to me" and I couldn't resist the motivation to sing them for a pass before filing them. Though, I must admit, after doing "Special to me", I couldn't find the tune for "The Hell of It".
I guess it is all about learning how about to be an actress and letting all those years of surpressed theateratics come to the surface.
